The JRC4558D (also known as 4558 Op-Amp) is a dual operational amplifier IC manufactured by Nisshinbo Micro Devices (formerly Japan Radio Company). It contains two independent high-gain operational amplifiers in a single 8-pin package. The JRC4558D is widely used in audio preamplifiers, tone control circuits, equalizers, mixers, guitar pedals, and active filters. Because of its warm sound characteristics and low cost, it has become one of the most popular op-amps in audio electronics.
